Honestly, if you have been doing SEO, email marketing, and LinkedIn outreach for 10 months without meaningful leads, I wouldn’t immediately conclude that those channels don’t work.
I’d first look at what you’re selling, who you’re targeting, and why someone should choose your small agency over an established Salesforce consultancy.
I work in SEO and lead generation, and one thing I’ve learned is that a small B2B agency usually struggles when it markets itself as:
“We are a team of experienced Salesforce developers, and we provide Salesforce consulting services.”
That’s technically correct, but it’s not a compelling buying reason.
Table of Contents
Toggle1. Pick one narrow ICP-
Don’t target “companies that use Salesforce.”
Choose something like-
- SaaS companies with 20–100 employees
- Salesforce users struggling with automation
- Companies migrating from another CRM
- Businesses with messy Salesforce data
- Companies needing Salesforce integration
- Small businesses that need ongoing Salesforce administration
- Companies preparing for an Agentforce implementation
- Then create the website and outreach around that specific problem.
2. Sell a specific outcome, not developer hours-
Instead of:
- Salesforce Consulting Services.
Test offers such as:
- Salesforce Health Check for Growing SaaS Companies.
or
- Salesforce Automation Audit.
or
- Fix Your Salesforce CRM in 14 Days.
- The actual delivery can still involve consulting/development, but the entry point is easier for a prospect to understand.
3. Create one excellent case study-
This is probably more important than publishing 50 generic SEO articles.
Show:
Problem → Diagnosis → What you changed → Salesforce solution → Before/after → Business outcome
For example:
“How we reduced manual CRM work by X hours per week by automating Salesforce lead assignment.”
Obviously, only use numbers you can actually prove.
For a new consultancy, 2–3 detailed case studies can be more persuasive than a huge “Salesforce experts” website.
4. Don’t depend entirely on SEO-
SEO is a compounding channel. If you need leads now, I’d combine it with direct prospecting and partnerships.
I’d build pages around high-intent problems, such as:
- Salesforce consultant for SaaS companies.
- Salesforce automation consultant.
- Salesforce CRM cleanup service.
- Salesforce integration consultant.
- Salesforce migration consultant.
- Salesforce implementation consultant.
- Salesforce administrator for small businesses.
- Then build genuinely useful supporting content around those services.
- The objective isn’t to rank for “Salesforce”; that’s far too broad.
The objective is to become visible when somebody has a specific Salesforce problem and commercial intent.
5. Try the Salesforce ecosystem itself-
This is something I wouldn’t ignore. Salesforce currently positions its consulting partner ecosystem as a way for customers to discover specialized implementation and consulting expertise, and AppExchange/Agent Exchange is part of that discovery ecosystem.
If you’re eligible, investigate the current Salesforce Consulting Partner/partner ecosystem rather than relying entirely on Google and cold outreach. Salesforce also provides partner resources around demand generation, sourced leads, and joint sales.
6. Build referral relationships-
I’d contact:
- Salesforce admins.
- Fractional CTOs.
- Rev Ops consultants.
- HubSpot consultants.
- Marketing agencies.
- Web development agencies.
- IT MSPs.
- CRM consultants.
- Salesforce recruiters.
- Business consultants.
Not with:
- “Can you send us clients?”
Instead:
“If one of your clients needs Salesforce implementation/development work that you don’t handle, we’d be happy to act as your technical delivery partner.”
That’s a much easier partnership conversation.
7. Change your LinkedIn approach-
I wouldn’t send 100 messages saying:
“Hi, we are a Salesforce consulting company. Are you interested in our services?”
Instead, identify companies that have a trigger.
For example:
- Recently hired a Salesforce admin.
- Recently raised funding.
- Salesforce job openings.
- CRM migration announcement.
- Rapid sales-team expansion.
- Merger/acquisition.
- New Rev Ops leadership.
- Obvious CRM/automation problems.
Then make the message about the trigger.
